Happy Holidays & Big News!

Our Christmas Card
Happy Holidays!! It has been awhile since I have posted anything and that is because I had a broken hand which made me brutally slow at typing and then I was sooooo sick with morning sickness (more like all day sickness) because WE ARE EXPECTING!! We are so ecstactic to start our little family. Trent and I couldn't be more excited. Now that I am 15 weeks along I have felt some relief from the morning sickness and I have a little bit more energy, so hopefully I will be able to keep my blog updated a little more...
So this week we go in to find out the gender of our dear little one! I can't believe we are already to that point, but I am so excited to start planning and decorating the nursery.
The pictures below are from a photo shoot that we did with my dear mother-in-law to get pictures for our Christmas card. The ones below are just some of the favs.

We are so excited to become parents in June! I can't believe I am going to be a mama! I don't feel old enough:)

Again....another catch up on life!!

Well, besides blogging for my wonderful anniversary, the last time I blogged was clear back in August!! I will get better...
My latest news to report is that I got hired on as the Prevention Specialist where I am ending  working with Post Adoption families and as sad as I am to say good bye to the families I have been working with, I am soooo excited to begin in this new position. I will be doing presentations to classess in the Alpine, Provo, and Nebo school districs and I will love being with the kids in a classroom setting teaching them about subjects such as recognizing the different types of abuse, child development, dating violence, bullying, and suicide prevention. It will be great to focus my attention to this job and, for the most part, be on the same schedule as the hubby.

Trent and I moved into a town home in Lehi mid-January and we have absolutely LOVED our new place and neighborhood. I have loved creating and decorating our space for us. Here are some pictures to give you a peek of what we have done with some of the space:

The left picture is my little book nook, the center is the master bedroom, and the picture to the right is a glimpse of our basement. To see the rest you will have to come visit us!

After moving in, we were called immediately to be Primary Workers in the nursery and we have loved getting to know all the little kids in the ward and their little attitudes. Watching Trent teach the little chidlins and giving them encouragement just gets me even more excited for us to start our own little family.

Below are a bunch of pictures that we have taken of our little adventures from the past few months:
Trent's 25th Birthday
Celebrating my 23rd Birthday
Visiting St. Nicolas at This is The Place in SLC in December

Family Pictures in January
Cabin in Island Park in February

Snowboarding at the Canyons in March
Hiking Timp. Cave with the Brunt Family

Trip to see Old Faithful
West Yellowstone

Black Bear...the highlight of Trent's trip

Celebrating Our Two Year Anniversary

Yesterday, Trent and I celebrated our two year anniversary! I can't believe how fast time has flown but yet it feels like we have always been married...it's weird how that works. Trent wouldn't tell me what the plans were for the night so I just had to wait patiently...
To start the night off, Trent surprised me and came home early from work with this bouquet of roses! The bouquet was heavy and almost as big as me!! What a man...he is a true romantic. I am such a lucky gal.

A message in a bottle: One of the things I gave Trent, was that I went back through my journals when we were dating and took the segments out that had to do with Trent and I and copied them down on a worn looking peiece of paper and put it in a bottle.  This way he was finally able to read about how I was feeling and what was going through my head when we were dating! He had fun reading it.

After, we had turned off our phones to shut the world out for the night, he surprised me by taking me on a shopping spree for some summer clothes!! He was the best shopping buddy and helped me pick out a couple of cute summer outfits. I was able to convince him to get some good looking things as well. After being completely spoiled, Trent surprised me by taking taking me to Chef's Table.  I thought was this was so sweet because it is a very expensive restaurant. However, after I let him know how grateful I was for his thoughfulness I told him that I didn't need a way expensive dinner. After finally persuading him that we can go somewhere else, we decided on delicious Carrabba's Italian Grill.
We ordered fun, speciality drinks, delicious zucchini fritte for an appetizer, Trent ordered Pasta Weesie (fettuccine in a white wine sauce with shrimp and sauteed mushrooms) and I ordered the Seafood Cannelloni (stuffed with lobster, scallops, shrimp, and crabmeat). Everything was sooo delicious We were way too full for dessert!

Later, we watched our wedding video and it was so much fun to reminisce and see how everyone has grown in the last two years! It was such a perfect day. I have such a great man. We have already made so many great memories and I am excited to live the rest of my life and eternity with my sweetheart.

TWO hearts knit TWOgether for TWO years!

I want to dedicate this post to my best friend and my sweetheart.  Why? because today is our two year anniversary and I can't believe how fast time has flown! I can honestly say that the last two years have been the best in my life and I am looking forward for the rest of eternity.  I am so grateful for the unconditional love Trent has shown me. Thanks baby for fighting for me in the beginning and for not only being being patient with me but loving me through my stubborness, and OCDness. I love you and I truely couldn't of asked for a better man.  Thanks for being my man!

Catch Up!

Ok I thought after you graduate school you are suppose to have more time on your hands?!! I just realized I haven't updated my blog since...well before I graduated.  There has been so much that has happened and too much to catch up on so I will give you the Cliff Notes version!! yay for cliff notes! Trent and I have moved from Provo to Lehi temporarily into my Dad's basement while we wait to move into a town home into Ivory Ridge in Lehi.  Trent and I are so excited for this townhome because we will not only have 4 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, but access to a pool, nice gym, and indoor/outdoor tennis courts! We are soooo excited and are definitely looking forward to a place we can grow our family in and stay for some time. Trent is working full time and starting up school full time here shortly (which is insane, but he is determined).  I have picked up 3 new jobs...yes I said three.  The first is an Employment Specialist for Covenant Employment Services, who has a contract through Division of Workforce Services. So basically I am a job coach for individuals who go through DWS and are unsuccessful about finding a job either because of their background or barriers they have. The Second Job is an Adoption Respite Caseworker at the Family Support & Treatment Center, so I help families make the adjustment who have adopted children from DCFS. My third job is a Melaluca business I am starting up at home, I have probably been the most excited about this business and the growth I have already seen occur. Ultimately I am building this wellness company so that when the time comes, I can be a stay at home mother:) yay! I am also looking for business partners so if anyone is interested or know of anyone interested in building residual income and benefitting from all kinds of eco friendly and natural products then send them my way. So in total I'm working an average of 50-60 hours a week...kind of exhausting but it will be worth it in the end.

Day #10:

“Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set
on a hill cannot be hid. Let your light so shine
before men, that they may see your good
works, and glorify your father which is
in heaven.” -Matthew 5:14,16

Reflect in your journal about where the 10 day challenge has taken you, and where you want to go from here. What can you continue to do to improve your body image?

WHY: Body acceptance is a lifelong process. Some days, we will do better than others. Every day, we have to wake up and make a decision to love and accept ourselves, inside and out. As you continue to be mindful of this journey, you will find more and more freedom from comparing, negative self-talk, and more lasting self confidence, based on the things that really matter: your relationships, your personality, your talents, and your relationship with God.

Day#9: Body Kindness

THE CHALLENGE: BODY KINDNESS
Be kind to your body today. Take a nap, go for a walk, enroll in a yoga class, get a massage, take a bubble bath, get a pedicure or manicure, or cook yourself a delicious meal.
WHY: We have been trained to hate our bodies. We pluck, tweeze, shape, mold, sculpt, and otherwise try to change our appearances. Your body is the vehicle that will carry you to your dreams--treat it with kindness and love. We must cherish our bodies it as God-given gifts.
Journal: What did you do? How did it make your body feel?
